Show the buildings around

Context buildings in the CRS panel shows the buildings around the model as plain blocks. They help you judge the placement and never go into the output.

To show the buildings around the model:

  1. Place the model on the map, see Place a local model on the map.
  2. Turn on the switch next to Context buildings. The first time for a country, click Download.
  3. Choose the Radius, from 250 m to 3 km.
  4. Set the Default height for buildings whose height is unknown, and choose Even or Random under Heights.

The footprints come from open map data, credited in the panel. See Data Sources.
