Files in the output folder

Besides the formats you turned on, a conversion leaves reports in the output folder. Their names start with the file name.

FileWhat it holds
.city.jsonCityJSON, written with every conversion.
.gml, _v3.gmlCityGML 2.0 and 3.0. Batch names them _v2.gml and _v3.gml.
__stage4_qc.csvA grade for every object, with the areas compared.
__stage4_rework.csv, __stage4_rework.msThe objects to fix, found while the geometry was built, and a 3ds Max script that selects them.
__recheck.csv, __recheck.msThe flaws found by reading the written file back, and a 3ds Max script that selects those objects. Written only when there are any.
__validators.jsonThe results of the third-party validators.
__degen.jsonThe degenerate triangles of each object, counted by cause, as shown under Degenerate faces.
__attr_map.jsonA copy of the mapping the conversion used.
layer_map.jsonThe layer settings of the last conversion in this folder.
__place.jsonThe placement, for a model you placed on the map.
__origin.jsonThe offset taken off when FBX or GLB is written at the origin.
__stage4_log.txtThe log of the step that builds the geometry and attaches the attributes.
__footprint.json, __mesh.jsonThe footprints and the meshes passed from one step of the conversion to the next. __mesh.json can be large.

When you open a converted file again with FileOpen…, Insula3D reads __stage4_qc.csv, __degen.json and __attr_map.json next to it and shows the diagnosis measured during the conversion. Keep them with the file for that.
